Map Poll

Chico Unified School District will be holding hearings to get public input about the three drafts of election maps they have drawn up as the result of transitioning to a new election system. A more in-depth explanation of the "By-Trustee Area of Election System" can be found here.

Chico Parents for In Person Learning want to know which map is best in your opinion. Here are three district based election map drafts. Please look them over and take our poll below.

  • Creates two Trustee Areas in the PVHS boundary and three Trustee Areas in the CHS boundary.

  • Range of Hispanic/Latino population is 14.2% to 21.8%.

  • All areas are within required population range.

  • Most overall balanced option by median household income.

  • All identified neighborhoods are contained within a single Trustee Area.


  • Every Trustee Area represents both high schools.

  • Range of Hispanic/Latino population is 14.0% to 23.5%.

  • More diversity in socioeconomic data and housing tenure.

  • South Campus and The Avenues are split between multiple Trustee Areas.
